Job summary

Northern Nevada Medical Group is seeking a Central Scheduler to coordinate scheduling for surgery and other procedures across our facilities. You will communicate patient preparations and relay information to the Scheduling Department to ensure smooth patient flow.

The role requires gathering details from physicians, reporting statistics as requested, and maintaining service excellence at all times. This position supports the Behavioral Health and broader UHS network.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year of medical experience preferred.
• Be reliable, responsible, dependable, and fulfil obligations.
• Be careful about detail and thorough in completing work tasks.
• Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems, and other office procedures and terminology.
• Knowledge of electronic equipment, computer hardware and software, including applications and programming.
• Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services, including assessment of customer needs and customer satisfaction.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completed a Medical Assistant/Specialist program, preferred.

Responsibilities

• The Central Scheduler performs duties required to schedule patients for surgery and other procedures.
• The scheduler communicates any preparations needed to the patient and disseminates information to all areas within the Scheduling Department.
• Schedulers gather information from physicians and offices regarding special supply requests and report statistical data as requested.
• Demonstrates service excellence at all times.
• Other duties as assigned.
