Job summary

Las Palmas Medical Center in El Paso, TX, is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Surgery unit to support perioperative care and patient education. You will work closely with surgeons and the surgical team to ensure safety, efficiency, and top-quality outcomes in a fast-paced operating room environment.

The role requires RN licensure in Texas, ACLS/BLS/PALS certifications, and a commitment to patient-centered care with continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Texas
• ACLS/BLS/PALS certification in required timeframes
• RN with ADN or BSN degree and licensure

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients prior to surgery and plan perioperative care
• Educate patients and families about procedures and recovery
• Prepare patients including IV therapy and preoperative meds
• Participate in surgical site verification and universal protocols
• Monitor patient condition and document changes during shift
• Collaborate with surgeons, nurses and staff for safe, efficient care
