Job summary

The Hospitals of Providence in El Paso, TX is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for Day Surgery. This full-time role provides direct patient care on a Day Surgery unit, with responsibilities for planning, implementing and coordinating care, and supervising staff as needed.

Ideal candidates hold an RN license, have 1 year RN experience for PRN, and possess strong clinical skills with a focus on safety and quality outcomes. ACLS/PALS may be required by policy.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (RN).
• Current license to practice nursing in Texas or state of practice.
• 1 year RN experience for PRN status is preferred.
• ACLS/PALS/NRP certifications may be required by policy.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct clinical patient care on a day surgery unit.
• Assess, plan, implement and coordinate patient care per shift.
• Supervise staff assigned to the unit and ensure safety standards.
• Administer all medications safely per hospital policy.
• Respond to emergencies and follow infection control protocols.
