Job summary

Las Palmas Medical Center in El Paso, TX is seeking a Registered Nurse for Endoscopy on a PRN basis. You will evaluate patients, educate families, prepare patients with IV therapy and preoperative meds, and participate in universal protocol compliance.

You will work with surgeons and techs to maintain high patient safety and outcome standards. This role requires an RN license, an Associate Degree, and ACLS/BLS within 30 days of start.

Qualifications

• RN (registered nurse) license required.
• ACLS and BLS within 30 days of start date.
• No travel required.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients prior to endoscopy procedures.
• Provide patient and family education about perioperative care.
• Prepare patients including IV therapy and preoperative medications.
• Ensure universal protocol and time-out compliance for patient safety.
• Monitor patient condition and document changes during shift.
• Collaborate with surgeons, providers, and techs for safe care.
