Banner Health is seeking a part-time Medical Assistant for the Surgical Specialties team in Surprise, AZ. You will room patients, take vitals, assist with procedures, document in EMR, and provide administrative support as needed.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, completion of an MA program, and active MA certification with BLS. Strong interpersonal skills and multitasking ability are essential for patient-centered care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Completion of an approved medical assistant training program.
• Active Medical Assistant Certification (CMA/CCMA/NCMA/AMT).
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for exams by taking and recording vital signs and chief complaints.
• Assist with exams and minor procedures; take blood pressure, record vitals, perform phlebotomy and EKGs.
• Coordinate patient care: referrals, authorizations, scheduling, test results, and notifications.
• Maintain complete and accurate medical records and support billing processes.
• Keep clinical areas clean and sterilized; stock supplies and manage equipment maintenance.
