Job summary

Banner Health is seeking a Medical Assistant to support clinicians and nursing staff in delivering high-quality patient care at our Mesa facility. You will room patients, take vitals, assist with procedures, document in EMR, and support front-office tasks as needed.

The role requires an MA training program completion, active certification, and BLS. You will contribute to a positive patient experience while maintaining compliance and efficient clinic operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Completion of an approved medical assistant training program.
• Active Medical Assistant certification.
• BLS certification required.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced clinical environment.
• Strong computer skills and ability to use medical software.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for exams by taking vitals and recording measurements.
• Assist with exams and minor procedures; manage patient flow.
• Coordinate pre-certifications, referrals, scheduling, and test results communication.
• Provide clerical support and ensure accurate medical records and billing data.
• Maintain clean exam rooms and sterilize equipment per OSHA guidelines.
• Order supplies and manage medication stock and recalls.
• Communicate effectively with patients and staff; support team approach.
• Complete onboarding and orientation activities.
• Work under provider supervision and prioritize patient needs.
