Banner Staffing Services-Mesa is hiring a Part-time Medical Assistant to support clinical and clerical tasks in Surgical Services. You will room patients, take vitals, assist with procedures, and update electronic medical records while providing excellent patient care.

The role requires MA certification and BLS, with options for orientation and flexible scheduling. This position supports Banner Health facilities and offers registry/per diem opportunities with competitive wages and weekly pay.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Completion of an approved medical assistant training program.
• Active Medical Assistant certification and BLS required.
• Experience with EMR software and scheduling systems is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for exams by taking vitals and documenting symptoms.
• Assist with exams and minor procedures; measure vitals and document findings.
• Coordinate patient care including referrals, authorizations and scheduling.
• Provide clerical support and ensure accurate billing information for encounters.
• Maintain clean exam rooms and equipment, following sterilization and safety guidelines.
• Order supplies and stock patient care areas as directed.
• Communicate with patients, families and staff to ensure smooth care delivery.
• Complete onboarding/orientation activities and adhere to site policies.
• Work under supervision of providers and support multiple departments as needed.
