Job summary

Aspen Surgery Center in Walnut Creek is seeking a materials management professional to plan, procure, and sometimes distribute supplies and services for the surgical centers. You will assist AP with invoice reconciliation and liaise between site and corporate Materials Managers.

Applicants should have AS degree preferred, 3–4 years in medical materials management (or 1–2 in OR materials), and strong supervisory skills. Knowledge of surgical settings and Excel is advantageous.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent; AS degree preferred.
• 3–4 years experience in medical materials management, or 1–2 years in OR materials management.
• Background in surgical setting preferred.
• Strong supervisory and organizational skills required.

Responsibilities

• Knowledge of Surgical Specialties and their equipment & supply needs.
• Product prioritization and management to minimize similar items.
• Maintain inventory levels to ensure good asset turnover.
• Manage center staff’s management of supplier relationships and agreements.
• Knowledge of packaging, transport, health & safety regulatory guidelines and compliance.
