The University of Michigan CSPD Instrument Coordinator role serves as the primary liaison among CSPD, Operating Rooms, Clinics, Supply Chain, Finance, Informatics, physicians, vendors, and other stakeholders to ensure instrument availability, regulatory compliance, and efficient utilization.

This position leads inventory management, instrument acquisition, repairs, new tray implementation, IFU compliance, and process improvements, while supporting operational excellence and exceptional customer

Formación

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum two years of sterile processing experience required.
• Certification through an accredited Sterile Processing Organization such as CBSPD or HSPA required.

Responsabilidades

• Instrumentation management and inventory oversight.
• Tray, set, and process management.
• Establishing service level agreements with customers.
• Guiding customers on procurement of reusable instruments.
• Coordinating instrument drop-off and pickup times.
• Collaborating with Peri-Op Informatics on instrument trays tracking software.
• Leading continuous improvement and operational excellence initiatives.

Conocimientos

Sterile processing experience

CBSPD/HSPA certification

Educación

High school diploma or equivalent

Associate degree or advanced healthcare certification
