Job summary

NYU Langone Health is seeking an Instrument Coordinator for the SPD. This role focuses on completing instrument sets, evaluating tray packaging, and coordinating instrument delivery to the Operating Rooms.

The candidate will communicate with OR charge nurses, assist in case cart prep, and manage refurbishing schedules while maintaining organized storage and vendor relations. A strong CSP background and certifications are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 1 year CSP experience, or 2 years CSP with CSP certifications.
• CRCST/CIS/CER/CHL or Lean Six Sigma certifications preferred.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate instrumentation needs for the following day with the OR schedule.
• Order replacement instrumentation and refurbish damaged or missing instrumentation.
• Assess container sizes and assemble instrument sets per AAMI standards.
• Maintain and audit instrument trays and inventory; identify cost-saving opportunities.
