Qualifications

• High school graduate and ARC-ST/CAAHEP CFA preferred.
• Licensure/certification options include CSA, SA-C, CSFA.

Responsibilities

• Assist in maintaining the surgical field and aid the surgeon during operations.
• Perform delegated observable, cognitive, and psychomotor tasks as directed.
• Ensure safe patient positioning under RN supervision.
• Prepare equipment, supplies, and instruments for surgeries.
• Collaborate with the surgeon to provide exposure and handle tissue.
• Anticipate and assist with hemostasis during procedures.
• Close incisions as directed and apply wound dressings.
• Secure drainage systems to tissue as needed.
