Saint Joseph Mount Sterling is seeking a Surgical First Assistant to support the operating team in a community hospital setting in Mount Sterling, Kentucky. The role requires hands-on assistance under the surgeon's direction, ensuring patient safety and efficient operative flow.

Qualified candidates will have a surgical technology background, 1–3 years of experience, CPR certification, and NASC/First Assistant credentials. On-site, hospital-based opportunity with a collaborative surgical team.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited surgical technology program.
• 1-3 years of surgical technician experience.
• Basic Life Support - CPR within 14 days.
• Certified Surgical First Assistant NASC upon hire.
• Certified First Assistant upon hire.

Responsabilités

• Assist with patient positioning and sterile draping.
• Open/close surgical sites, harvest grafts, assist with hemostasis and tissue dissection as directed.
• Secure drainage systems and apply wound dressings.
• Assist with placing catheters and administering local anesthesia as directed.
