Job summary

Surgery Partners Brand in Asheville, NC is seeking a Surgical Technologist / First Assist PRN to support operative teams. The role includes preparing equipment, setting up the operating room, and assisting with exposure, retraction, and hemostasis under the surgeon's direction.

Graduates of accredited surgical technologist programs who are CPR certified with 0-2 years of related experience are encouraged to apply and join a teamwork‑driven operating room environment.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited surgical technologist program or related technical program.
• Certified to perform CPR with 0-2 years of clinical experience in a related field.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain medical equipment for surgical procedures.
• Set up operating room with instruments, sterile drapes, and solutions.
• Tend to patient during pre-operative procedures and assist surgical team.
• Assist First Assist with exposure, retraction, suctioning, and sponge techniques.
• Pass instruments, handle sutures, and assist with closures as directed by surgeon.
• Transport patients, position on table, and apply sterile drapes.
• Observe vital signs and ensure sterile technique throughout the procedure.
