Bronson Medical Group seeks a Surgical Technologist Assistant to support the OR team. You will assist the surgeon and scrub staff, maintain the sterile field, and anticipate equipment needs during procedures.

The role requires formal ST training, current certification, and BLS; candidates should demonstrate reading data from monitors and computer systems and uphold patient privacy and dignity.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Formal training from an accredited surgical technologist course.
• Completion of an accredited Surgical Technologist First Assistant program.
• Experience as Surgical Technologist within past 5 years.
• Surgical Technologist certification required.
• BLS competency per CORE orientation.
• Orientation per unit and experience level mandatory.
• Ability to read/evaluate data from equipment, EKG monitor, and computer.
• Commitment to patient privacy and dignity.

Responsibilities

• Fulfills the role as first assistant on surgical procedures.
• Assist surgeon, maintain sterile field and monitor blood loss.
• Prepare and organize case carts, supplies and equipment.
• Interpret procedure cards and anticipate surgeons' needs.
• Maintain confidentiality and provide positive customer service.
• Respond to changing patient conditions during procedures.
