Job summary

Baxter International Inc. is seeking an Associate Sales Representative for the Southern region to promote our surgical portfolio to physicians, nurses, and operating room staff.

You will partner with a regional sales team to meet personal and business goals while delivering patient-centered solutions. You will build relationships on site, demonstrate products, and support dealers and customers to ensure successful adoption and satisfaction across a deep portfolio.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED required; Bachelor’s preferred with 2+ years or 4+ years related experience.
• Inside or field sales in the healthcare or similar industry preferred.
• Medical device experience preferred.
• Strong influencing skills to understand needs and influence nurses and other decision makers.
• Outstanding communication, negotiation, organizational, problem solving, facilitation, and presentation skills are essential.
• Willing/able to travel at least 75% and may cover several states.

Responsibilities

• Supporting and promoting our Surgical Portfolio in your territory to meet customer’s clinical and economic needs.
• Independently formulating and implementing selling strategies to sell products of intermediate complexity directly to customers by phone and on site.
• Engaging with the install base and existing customers for incremental purchases, pricing/delivery issues, and overall support to improve their experience.
• Ensuring clinical adoption across the product portfolio through product trialing, demonstrations, and in-servicing to improve customers’ adoption of their portfolio.
• Scheduling and completing customer sales calls quotas and following up on opportunities to develop the business.
• Assisting with set up of product demonstrations for customers as requested.
• Supporting site visits, product fairs, and mock rooms, as necessary.
