Job summary

Shared Practices Group is hiring a Surgical Dental Assistant to support doctors and the lab with back-office organization and efficient patient care. The role emphasizes collaboration with clinical and administrative teams to deliver exceptional service.

You will help set up operatory spaces, assist chairside during a variety of procedures, capture quality CBCT/panoramic images, and ensure strict infection control and accurate charting.

Qualifications

• Proven knowledge of dental terminology and clinical workflows.
• Experience in inventory management and supply ordering.
• Familiarity with implant procedures (All-on-Four/overdentures).
• Competence in taking alginate impressions and CBCT/panoramic imaging.
• Compliance with OSHA, HIPAA, and infection control protocols.
• Ability to maintain professional patient privacy and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Review patient histories and document medications and alerts.
• Set up and break down operatory equipment; maintain charting.
• Assist doctor chairside during surgical and dental procedures.
• Capture CBCT and panoramic images accurately.
• Educate patients on procedures and post-operative care.
• Sterilize instruments and maintain infection control in rooms.
