Job summary

Shared Practices Group is seeking a highly motivated Surgical Dental Assistant with 1–2 years of relevant experience to join our growing team. You will help establish and organize the back office, develop efficient workflows, set up sterile rooms, assist the doctor chairside, and support dental lab operations to deliver exceptional patient care.

This role emphasizes teamwork, precision, and a positive attitude. Schedule: Monday–Friday.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1–2 years surgical dental assisting experience.
• Knowledge of implant procedures, All-on-Four and overdentures.
• Proficient in taking alginate impressions.
• Follows OSHA infection control and HIPAA privacy standards.
• Excellent communication and team-oriented mindset.
• Experience with Open Dental software is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Review patient histories, vital signs, and document medications.
• Set up and break down operatory equipment; maintain charting.
• Chairside assisting during surgical and dental procedures.
• Capture CBCT and panoramic images.
• Educate patients on procedures and post-operative care.
• Sterilize instruments and maintain treatment rooms.
• Assist front desk as needed and manage clinical inventory.
• Troubleshoot office equipment and support clinical workflows.
