Job summary

Shared Practices Group in the United States seeks a Surgical Dental Assistant with 1–2 years of relevant experience and a passion for surgical procedures. You will help establish back-office workflows, organize the sterile room, and ensure efficient patient care while collaborating with clinical and administrative teams from day one.

You will chairside assist the doctor, capture CBCT/panoramic images, educate patients, manage inventory, and support front desk functions.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1–2 years of relevant surgical dental assisting experience.
• Strong team orientation and work ethic.
• Ability to establish back-office workflows and ensure sterile room setup.

Responsibilities

• Review patient histories, vitals, meds, and alerts for doctor review.
• Set up/break down operatory; accurate charting and scheduling support.
• Chairside assistance during dental and surgical procedures.
• Capture CBCT and panoramic images accurately.
• Educate patients on procedures and post-operative instructions.
• Sterilize instruments and maintain infection control in rooms.
• Manage clinical inventory and supplies.
• Support front desk staff and promote team collaboration.
• Maintain readiness and follow chairside protocols efficiently.
• Oversee basic maintenance of office equipment.
