Shared Practices Group is hiring a Surgical Dental Assistant with 1–2 years of surgical experience. The role supports the doctor and lab operations, helps establish back-office workflows, and ensures a sterile, ready environment for procedures.

Qualifications

• Strong dental terminology knowledge.
• Experience with inventory management and supply ordering.
• Knowledge of implant procedures, All-on-Four and overdentures.
• Proficient in alginate impression taking.
• OSHA and HIPAA compliance.
• CBCT and panoramic imaging proficiency.
• Maintains positive, professional attitude.
• Team-oriented mindset with strong communication.

Responsibilities

• Review patient histories, obtain vital signs, document meds and conditions, and alert the doctor to concerns.
• Set up and break down operatory equipment; maintain compliant charting and schedules.
• Chairside assistance during a range of surgical and dental procedures.
• Capture CBCT and panoramic images accurately.
• Educate patients on procedures, meds, and pre/post-operative care.
• Sterilize instruments and maintain sterile treatment rooms.
• Monitor clinical inventory and ensure supplies are stocked.
• Support front desk staff as needed to foster teamwork.
• Maintain readiness by anticipating clinical needs and following protocols.
• Oversee basic maintenance and troubleshooting of office equipment.
