Shared Practices Group is seeking a Surgical Dental Assistant with 1–2+ years of experience to support surgeons and dental labs in a fast-paced practice focused on dentures and implants.

You will help establish efficient back-office workflows, set up sterile rooms, and assist in a range of surgical procedures while maintaining meticulous patient records and compliance with infection control standards.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of dental terminology and clinical workflows.
• Inventory management and supply ordering experience.
• Knowledge of implant procedures, All-on-Four and overdentures.
• Proficient in taking alginate impressions and coordinating labs.
• OSHA infection control and HIPAA privacy compliance.
• CBCT/panoramic imaging proficiency.
• Positive, collaborative, and organized team player.
• Excellent communication and multitasking in a fast-paced setting.

Responsabilités

• Review patient medical histories, vital signs, medications and alerts; notify doctor of concerns.
• Set up and breakdown operatory equipment; document charting per regulations.
• Chairside assisting during surgical and dental procedures.
• Capture CBCT and panoramic images with accuracy.
• Educate patients on procedures and post-operative instructions.
• Sterilize instruments and maintain treatment rooms per infection control protocols.
• Manage clinical inventory and supplies.
• Support front desk staff and foster a collaborative environment.
• Maintain chairside readiness and assist with protocol adherence.
• Oversee basic maintenance of office equipment and daily operations.
