Job summary

Shared Practices Group is seeking a Surgical Dental Assistant with 1–2 years of relevant experience to support a busy practice focused on surgical dentistry. You will help establish back-office workflows, organize the sterile room, and collaborate with clinical and admin teams to deliver exceptional patient care.

Responsibilities include chairside assistance, imaging, patient education, inventory management, and interdepartmental support. Monday–Friday schedule with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years surgical dental assistant experience.
• Knowledge of implant procedures (All-on-4/overdentures) preferred.
• Able to capture CBCT and panoramic x-rays.
• OSHA infection control compliance required.
• HIPAA privacy adherence expected.

Responsibilities

• Review patient medical histories and vital signs; document medications and alerts.
• Set up/break down operatory equipment and maintain charting per standards.
• Assist the doctor chairside during various surgical and dental procedures.
• Capture CBCT and panoramic images with accuracy.
• Educate patients on procedures and post-operative instructions.
• Sterilize instruments and maintain treatment rooms per infection control protocols.
• Manage inventory and supply ordering.
• Support front desk staff and maintain a collaborative environment.
• Ensure readiness and troubleshoot office equipment as needed.
