Job summary

Shared Practices Group is seeking a Surgical Dental Assistant with 1–2 years of relevant experience to support back-office setup, workflows, and sterile room readiness. You will collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to deliver exceptional patient care and assist the doctor and dental lab operations.

The role requires strong dental terminology knowledge, inventory management, and the ability to capture CBCT/panoramic images.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of surgical dentistry experience as required.
• Strong teamwork and professional attitude in a clinical setting.
• Ability to set up operatory and maintain sterile rooms with efficiency.
• Knowledge of implant procedures (All-on-Four, overdentures) preferred.
• OSHA and HIPAA compliance knowledge ensured.

Responsibilities

• Review patient histories, record meds, and notify doctor of concerns.
• Set up/break down operatory equipment and chart accurately.
• Assist the doctor chairside during surgical procedures.
• Capture CBCT and panoramic images accurately.
• Educate patients on procedures and post-op care.
• Sterilize instruments and maintain infection control.
• Manage clinical inventory and supplies.
• Support front desk staff and foster teamwork.
• Maintain readiness by following chairside protocols.
• Oversee basic maintenance of office equipment.
