Job summary

Shared Practices Group is seeking a Surgical Dental Assistant with 1-2 years of relevant experience to join our fast-growing practice network focusing on dentures and implants. You will support doctors and the dental lab, organize back office workflows, and ensure the sterile room is prepared for patient care from day one.

You’ll collaborate with both clinical and administrative teams, perform chairside assistance across procedures, and contribute to efficient daily schedules while maintaining

Qualifications

• Proficient with dental terminology and charting
• Experience managing inventory and ordering supplies
• Knowledge of Open Dental software is a plus
• Adheres to OSHA and HIPAA regulations
• Capable of taking CBCT and panoramic images
• Demonstrates a team-oriented, collaborative mindset
• Excellent communication and multitasking abilities
• Strong organization and reliability while maintaining sterile rooms

Responsibilities

• Review patient histories and vitals; document medications and alerts.
• Set up and break down operatory equipment; maintain charting accuracy.
• Chairside assist during surgical and dental procedures.
• Capture CBCT and panoramic images with accuracy.
• Educate patients on procedures and post-op care.
• Sterilize instruments and maintain infection control protocols.
• Manage clinical inventory and supplies.
• Assist front desk when needed; support teamwork.
• Maintain readiness and follow chairside protocols.
• Oversee basic maintenance of office equipment.
