Job summary

Shared Practices Group is seeking a Surgical Dental Assistant with 1-2 years of relevant experience to support the back office and doctor in a fast-paced surgical dental setting. This role focuses on chairside assistance, imaging, and developing efficient workflows while collaborating with clinical and administrative teams.

The ideal candidate will have strong dental terminology knowledge, inventory management experience, and the ability to educate patients on procedures and post-operative care.

Qualifications

• Proficient in dental terminology and infection control procedures.
• Experience with CBCT and panoramic imaging workflows.
• Knowledge of implant procedures, All-on-Four and overdentures.

Responsibilities

• Review patient histories and document medications and alerts.
• Set up/break down operatory equipment and maintain charts.
• Assist the doctor chairside during surgical and dental procedures.
• Capture CBCT and panoramic images accurately.
• Educate patients on procedures and pre/post-op care.
• Maintain sterile environments and infection control standards.
• Monitor inventory and stock supplies.
