Job summary

Shared Practices Group is seeking a Surgical Dental Assistant with 1–2 years of experience to support doctor and dental lab operations. The role focuses on organizing the back office, establishing efficient workflows, and preparing a sterile room for patient care.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of basic dental terminology.
• Experience with inventory management and supply ordering.
• Knowledge of implant procedures, All-on-Four and overdentures.
• Proficient in taking alginate impression.
• Compliant with OSHA regulations and infection control protocols.
• Adheres to HIPAA standards for patient privacy and confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Review patient histories, obtain vitals, document medications and alerts.
• Set up and break down operatory equipment; charting per standards.
• Chairside assistance during surgical and dental procedures.
• Capture CBCT and panoramic images with accuracy.
• Educate patients on procedures and post-op instructions.
• Sterilize instruments and maintain treatment rooms per protocols.
• Manage clinical inventory and supplies.
• Support front desk as needed to foster teamwork.
• Maintain readiness by following chairside protocols.
• Oversee maintenance of office equipment.
