Shared Practices Group is seeking a Surgical Dental Assistant with 1–2 years of relevant experience to support back-office operations and doctor workflows. The role includes chairside assistance, instrument sterilization, patient education, and collaboration with clinical and administrative teams.

You will help establish efficient workflows, set up the sterile room, and ensure imaging is captured accurately. Excellent teamwork and organization are essential for daily patient care.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of surgical dental assistant experience.
• Experience with implant procedures, All-on-Four and overdenture workflows.
• Familiarity with CBCT and panoramic imaging.
• OSHA infection control compliance and HIPAA privacy.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Highly organized and dependable.

Responsibilities

• Review patient histories, document meds and conditions; alert doctor to concerns.
• Set up and breakdown operatory; maintain charting and schedule.
• Chairside assistance during surgical/dental procedures.
• Capture CBCT and panoramic images accurately.
• Educate patients on procedures and post-operative care.
• Sterilize instruments and maintain treatment rooms.
• Manage clinical inventory and supplies.
• Support front desk as needed; foster team collaboration.
• Maintain readiness and follow chairside protocols efficiently.
• Oversee basic maintenance of office equipment.
