Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
• Basic Life Support Certification required and must maintain certification.
• ACLS Certification required and must maintain certification.
• PALSCertification within six (6) months of position and must maintain certification.
• One year (within the last five years) recent experience in ICU/CVICU/CVPA/ER or SDC/PACU.
• On-call is required for off-shift, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Delivers patient care through the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation.
• Administers and monitors patient responses to all medications.
• Directs and guides patient care and teaching to ancillary staff.
• Demonstrates proficiency in Computerized Nursing Informatics.
• Represents the hospital in the community while maintaining confidentiality.
