Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Knowledge of customer service principles and practices.
• Proficient in computers and practice management software; EMR systems preferred.
• Knowledge of multi-line phone system.
• Demonstrated initiative with strong organizational skills.
• Excellent interpersonal communication and ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Answer phones and emails; respond to scheduling questions.
• Assist patients with forms; collect co-pays and fees.
• Ensure proper medical clearance and pre-surgical testing.
• Enter notes and instructions in the EMR for scheduling.
• Prepare bills and liaise with insurance on timing.
• Schedule appointments and surgeries; send reminders.
• Prepare and manage surgical equipment and rooms.
• Provide pre- and post-operative patient instructions.
• Maintain confidentiality of patient and company information.
• Other duties as assigned.
