Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in surgical coordination, scheduling, ambulatory surgery, plastic surgery, aesthetics, or related healthcare environment.
• Previous leadership, supervisory, or management experience.
• Strong understanding of surgical scheduling and pre-operative processes.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• High level of attention to detail and follow-through.
• Proficiency with electronic medical records and standard office technology.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive patient information appropriately.

Responsibilities

• Oversee surgical scheduling across surgeons, operating rooms, anesthesia, and teams.
• Maintain accurate, efficient schedules while optimizing OR utilization.
• Coordinate case additions, changes, cancellations, and rescheduling.
• Review upcoming schedules for conflicts and barriers to completion.
• Communicate with patients regarding preparation, testing, and post-operative instructions.
• Ensure readiness of patient charts and required documentation.
• Coordinate with anesthesia regarding documentation and patient considerations.
• Provide leadership to coordinators and promote accountability and teamwork.
• Ensure compliance with policies, accreditation requirements, and privacy rules.
