Job summary

Cedars-Sinai is seeking an experienced Medical Coder II to assign ICD-10-CM and CPT codes for services across multiple specialties. You will ensure accurate modifiers, stay current with coding guidelines, and support compliant reimbursement.

A CPC is required; COSC/CIRCC are preferred, with at least 2 years of surgical coding experience in a multi-specialty setting. Remote work is approved from specified states; otherwise, on-site collaboration with a multidisciplinary team and ongoing training

Qualifications

• Certified Professional Coder (CPC) required.
• Certified Orthopaedic Surgery Coder (COSC) certification preferred.
• CIRCC (Certified Interventional Radiology Cardiovascular Coder) certification preferred.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience performing ICD-10 and CPT coding in a health care setting.

Responsibilities

• Assign ICD-10-CM and CPT codes for patients served.
• Assign modifiers to ensure accurate reimbursement and data quality.
• Follow official coding guidelines and understand multi-specialty coding nuances.
• Attend seminars/workshops for updated coding rules.
• Maintain confidentiality and follow department policies.
