Qualifications

• Michigan RN licensure required.
• BSN preferred.
• Current BLS/CPR provider required.
• ACLS and PALS required within 1 year of hire for Preop, PACU and OR RNs.
• Competence in basic cardiac dysrhythmia interpretation (will train).
• Previous ambulatory surgical experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess the patient's condition and needs across physical, psychological, cognitive, social, and discharge planning.
• Develop and implement a care plan using nursing diagnoses and patient outcomes.
• Coordinate care with physicians; delegate tasks and supervise staff as needed.
• Evaluate patient responses and modify interventions accordingly.
• Educate patients and families and uphold confidentiality and safety standards.
• Demonstrate professionalism, time management, and teamwork within the department.
• Participate in and support continuous quality improvement and standards.
