Job summary

Qualifications

• Interpersonal skills needed to communicate successfully with individuals and groups.
• Basic knowledge of surgical process including pre-, intra-, and post-operative phases.
• MyMichigan Health uses Windows-based systems and employees should demonstrate competency in Microsoft Windows.
• CAPA certification at time of hire preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess, implement and monitor patient care for diagnostic/therapeutic procedures in the department.
• Outline and document individual care plans for pre- and post-operative care.
• Provide leadership to the Riecker Surgery Center team and communicate with patient, family, team, manager, and ancillary departments.
• Participate in staff development through preceptorship and continuing education.
• Cover call shifts as assigned.
