Job summary

cwpnonproviders is seeking a Medical Assistant to provide direct patient care in office and ASC settings. You will enter intake data into the EMR, assist with pre-op and recovery, and help maintain patient flow and documentation while upholding HIPAA and safety standards.

The role requires BLS certification, excellent communication, and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment with a focus on customer service and accuracy.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Internet and Microsoft Office software (MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Outlook).
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with doctors, staff and the public.
• Flexibility to work a variable schedule.
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Enter patient intake and provider orders into the EMR and manage patient information.
• Assist in pre-op, recovery and transport for discharge.
• Maintain infection control, safety and OSHA standards.
• Prepare forms and requisitions; ensure medical records are complete.
• Support patient flow and scheduling; assist with inventory and supplies.
