Job summary

cwpnonproviders is seeking a Medical Assistant to provide direct patient care in office and ASC settings. You will enter orders into EMR, assist with pre-op and post-op workflows, and help maintain patient flow and satisfaction.

Responsibilities include HIPAA-compliant record handling, vital signs, history taking, and collaboration with nursing staff. Competency in infection control and equipment maintenance is required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Knowledge of Internet and Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Current BLS certification.
• Excellent written and oral communication–customer service oriented.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Enter patient intake and orders into EMR and request medical records.
• Assist in pre-op, recovery, and transport for discharge.
• Maintain HIPAA confidentiality in all areas.
• Complete paperwork and ensure patient records are accurate and complete.
• Assist nursing staff with vital signs, history taking, and routine tests.
• Maintain clean, stocked, and organized clinical areas and equipment.
