Job summary

Clearway Pain Solutions in Waldorf, MD seeks a Medical Assistant to provide direct patient care in both office and Ambulatory Surgical Center settings. You will enter patient intake and provider orders into the EMR, support pre‑op and post‑op flow, and assist nursing staff with vitals and documentation.

The role requires strong communication, attention to detail, and the ability to multi‑task in a fast‑paced clinical environment; willingness to travel to affiliated sites may be required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Experience with EMR/medical office software preferred.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Enter patient intake and provider orders into the EMR.
• Assist in pre-op, recovery, and discharge processes.
• Maintain patient flow and accurate scheduling; verify patient information.
• Assist nursing staff with vital signs, charting and specimen handling.
• Ensure infection control, safety, and OSHA compliance.
