Job summary

cwpnonproviders is seeking a Medical Assistant to provide direct patient care in office and ASC settings. You will enter patient intake and provider orders into the EMR, verify information, and assist with pre-op and post-op activities.

The role requires strong communication, teamwork, and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced clinical environment. HIPAA compliance and patient safety are essential, with opportunities to support infection control and equipment maintenance.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• BLS certification must be current.
• MS Office skills (Word/Excel/Outlook) needed.
• Experience with EMR and clinical terminology preferred.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities required.

Responsibilities

• Enter patient intake and provider orders into the EMR.
• Assist in pre-op, recovery, and transport to discharge areas.
• Maintain HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality.
• Verify patient information and record medical history accurately.
• Support nursing staff with vital signs and documentation.
• Ensure patient flow and scheduling accuracy for procedures.
• Set up sterile field and assist with procedures when needed.
• Monitor equipment and perform daily safety checks.
