You will manage patient scheduling, pre-op coordination, and surgery chart preparation to ensure efficient care. Key duties include verifying insurance benefits, arranging pre-operative clearances, updating the EMR, and maintaining HIPAA compliance while collaborating with patients, providers, and facilities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum one year of experience as a Surgical Coordinator.
• Experience with EMR software preferred – Athena.
• Proficiency with Word, Excel, Office 365.

Responsibilities

• Schedule patients for Orthopedic/Spine Surgeries.
• Verify insurance benefits and collect out-of-pocket responsibilities.
• Obtain pre-operative clearances from listed providers.
• Coordinate pre-op, surgery and post-op appointments and requirements.
• Prepare weekly surgery charts for clinical teams.
• Maintain HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality.
