Responsibilities

• Coordinate and schedule procedures or surgeries, pre and post op appointments.
• Interact with patients, physicians, and staff, providing timely information.
• Coordinate processes and route paperwork to meet physician and facility requirements.
• Initiate and track medical clearances as required.
• Initiate and track authorization for procedures, surgeries, ancillary services, and medical supplies.
• Obtain financial estimates for procedures, surgeries, ancillary services, and medical supplies.
• Contact the patient to ensure pre-payment is collected prior to procedure.
• Triages, manages, and documents all incoming surgery related calls.
• Complete all tasks and orders in a timely manner.
• Scan internal documents accurately into patient’s medical record.
• Demonstrate courteous and helpfulness toward patients and their families.
• Display flexibility in work schedule dependent on clinic needs.
• Maintains HIPAA compliance and confidentiality.
• Answer calls, emails and follow up with clinical inbox.
• Coordinate and ensure DME is available prior to surgery.
• Completes all disability forms for patient.
• Other duties as assigned.
