Carle Health in Providence, RI seeks a Surgical Assistant to support the perioperative team as an assistant to the surgeon. The role includes first or second assisting under RN supervision, scrubbing duties, and intraoperative support to ensure patient safety and efficient operations.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree in Surgical Technology.
• Certificate of Completion in Surgical Technology.
• Experience in lieu of formal education may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Maintains asepsis and sterile environment.
• Assists in organization and coordination of supplies and equipment.
• Performs scrubbing duties as needed and assists with intraoperative tasks.
• Supports patient care planning and room turnover.
• Operates sterilization equipment and maintains safety standards.
