Qualifications

• Associate's Degree or Certificate of Completion in Surgical Technology.
• Experience in lieu of education acceptable.
• BLS within 30 days; CSA, CST, or licensed Surgical Assistant paths.

Responsibilities

• Maintains sterile environment with asepsis for procedures.
• Assists in organization and coordination of supplies and equipment.
• Performs intraoperative assistance as first/second assistant.
• Operates autoclave sterilization units and manages room turnover.
• Assists nurse in planning patient care.
• Chares for equipment and supplies.
• Supports procedures and patient positioning as needed.
• Preceptor duties for students and residents.
