Job summary

Carle Health is seeking a Surgical Assistant to join the Operating Room team as a key perioperative member. Role includes assisting surgeons, maintaining asepsis, and supporting intraoperative tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree or Surgical Technology certificate required.
• Licenses/certifications: BLS, CSA or CST/NBSTSA, or IDFPR license.
• 2+ years operating room scrub experience.
• Ability to assist in aseptic technique and intraoperative care.

Responsibilities

• Maintains sterile environment and adheres to safety policies.
• Assists in organization of supplies and equipment for efficiency.
• Performs scrub duties as needed and supports intraoperative tasks.
• Supports in planning patient care with the nurse.
