Job summary

Carle Health seeks a Surgical Assistant to join the Operating Room team as a versatile first or second assistant under RN supervision. Flexible shifts and scheduling options are offered to fit different lifestyles and career goals.

Qualified candidates have an associate's or certificate in Surgical Technology, BLS, and applicable CST/CSA licenses. Full-time and part-time roles include relocation options and a $5,000 sign-on bonus.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree or Certificate in Surgical Technology.
• BLS certification within 30 days of hire.
• CSA, NCCSA, IDFPR license or CST certification options.

Responsibilities

• Applies asepsis principles to maintain sterility during procedures.
• Assists in organizing supplies and equipment for efficiency and cost control.
• Performs intraoperative assisting duties.
• Maintains a safe environment per hospital policies and procedures.
• Performs scrub duties as needed and assists in patient care planning.
• Operates autoclave sterilization units and assists in room turnover.
