Job summary

Georgia Urology seeks a Surgery Coordinator to manage the surgery schedule for physicians, prepare packets, and guide patients through pre-operative and post-operative steps. You will work with physicians, CMAs, and nurses to ensure accurate communication and timely coordination.

The role requires strong customer service, organization, and professionalism, with documentation in NextGen and the ability to adapt to work across Georgia Urology locations, delivering high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in surgery scheduling.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Proficiency with EMR and Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Manage the surgery schedule for physicians within a 24 hour window.
• Create surgery packets and advise patients onPre-operative and post-operative steps.
• Coordinate with CMA's and Nurses to share necessary information.
• Provide surgical clearance instructions and ensure radiology data is available.
• Document patient communications in Nextgen with clarity and professionalism.
• Maintain a positive, respectful dialogue and escalate issues as needed.
• Answer calls promptly and provide satisfactory customer service.
• Work at multiple Georgia Urology locations as required.
