Job summary

Qualifications

• Two years of medical registration, billing, collection, scheduling, or insurance experience.
• Two years of customer service experience.
• Working knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, email, and calendaring programs.
• Education is verified.
• Two years at Intermountain Health as a PSR, MA or similar position.
• Two years of experience in patient access or health insurance industry knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Creates and manages provider’s surgery/hospital procedure schedules, including changes and follow-ups.
• Obtains authorization for surgeries by researching coverage and obtaining prior auth.
• Coordinate with providers and hospital staff for surgical equipment and CPT/ICD codes.
• Meet with patients pre-op to explain the process and prerequisites.
