Job summary

Memorial Hermann Southeast is seeking an OR Coordinator/Scheduler in Surgery Scheduling to join our team in Houston. This full-time role schedules patients across two hospitals, requiring precise coordination of procedures, vendors, and equipment, with a focus on clear communication and patient safety.

Ideal candidates have 1+ year of surgery scheduling experience, familiarity with medical terminology, and strong computer skills; Epic scheduling experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• One year of supervisory experience preferred.
• Ability to read and write and follow oral and written instruction.
• Ability to work varying shifts for extended periods as determined by the director.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Clinical Manager with planning, scheduling department workload and daily work assignments.
• Manage departmental employees; provide performance feedback and conduct training.
• Inspect facility condition and take corrective actions as needed.
• Coordinate patient scheduling across multiple procedural areas for two hospitals.
• Ensure safe patient care and adherence to policies within budget and quality standards.
