Rochester General Health System is seeking a Surgery Coordinator to manage scheduling and maintenance of surgical services across the system. The role requires coordination with physicians, patients, facilities, and vendors to ensure smooth operations.

The candidate will obtain codes for authorization, contact billing for pricing, and support the clinical team with scheduling challenges. Strong communication and organizational skills are essential.

Competenze

• Bachelor's degree preferred in business, social sciences, human resources, or equivalent.
• 3+ years of healthcare experience preferred.
• Strong analytical, computer, organizational, customer service and communication skills.
• Knowledge of IDX and CCS is beneficial for transportation departments.

Mansioni

• Coordinate scheduling of surgeries and pre-certification/authorization with patients, physicians, and insurers.
• Obtain surgical procedure and diagnosis codes for proper authorization.
• Communicate with patients by phone or in person with a cheerful, helpful attitude.
• Enter surgeries in the EMR Surgical Booking module and keep calendars up to date.
• Coordinate pre-op instructions, surgical clearance, and transportation as needed.
• Liaise with hospital departments and affiliates to facilitate procedures and billing.
