Job summary

Trinity Health IHA Medical Group is seeking a patient-focused Surgery Scheduler to work within our team. You will be the first contact for patients, coordinating surgical procedures and meetings to support exceptional care.

The role involves scheduling, pre-op testing, insurance authorizations, and managing consent forms, with a focus on accurate scheduling and billing alongside provider templates.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of 1 year experience as a Surgery Scheduler or medical receptionist.
• Strong communication and organizational skills; customer-focused.
• Knowledge of medical terminology is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Schedule surgical procedures, testing, and pre-op appointments.
• Obtain insurance authorizations and manage consent forms.
• Schedule, confirm, and reschedule appointments and inputs into provider templates.
• Collect payments and support accurate billing processes.
• Support patient communications, paperwork, and MyChart access.
• Maintain patient records and day-to-day office operations.
