Job summary

Bon Secours Mercy Health is seeking a Scheduling Specialist for St. Francis Physician Services to coordinate and schedule patient testing and procedures. You will interact with physician offices and other staff to ensure timely scheduling and accurate data entry into the hospital system.

You will gather daily scheduling records, understand payer requirements, and assist with pre-registration when needed, while maintaining strong customer service across departments.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (required).
• Associate degree in business, healthcare, or related field (preferred).
• Combination of post-secondary education and experience will be considered.
• Experience with data entry (preferred).
• Typing speed of 45–50 WPM (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and schedule patient testing or procedures with physician offices and departments.
• Enter scheduling data into the hospital computer system and update demographics and insurance information.
• Gather, update and maintain daily records of scheduled patients and volumes.
• Provide instructions regarding test preparation and answer questions about scheduling.
• Schedule with multiple facilities or departments to expedite outpatient testing.
• Promote strong customer focus and handle calls professionally.
