Qualifications

• 1 year or more in healthcare with knowledge of medical/surgical terminology.
• Experience with Cerner/IDX systems.
• Excellent customer service, communication, and de-escalation skills.
• Basic computer proficiency.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to work under pressure.
• Collaborative, reliable, and punctual.
• Medical Assistant Registered (MA-R) through WA, sponsored by Virginia Mason, required within 60 days of hire (if required by department).

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and schedule surgeries, procedures, and follow-up appointments.
• Manage day-of-visit patient flow, room patients, and handle phone and Cerner messages to keep the clinic running smoothly.
• Provide procedure room support and step in for sick and vacation coverage to ensure continuity of care.
• Maintain highly organized and multi-schedule coordination across multiple surgeon teams and locations.
