Job summary

Olympic Medical Center on Washington’s North Olympic Peninsula seeks a Surgery Coordinator to schedule surgeries and follow-up visits, enter pre- and post-operative data, and educate patients. The role collaborates with providers, referrals, and insurance information to ensure smooth patient care.

The position requires 3 years in a medical setting, MA/LPN/RN or CPOE training with certification within 12 months, plus knowledge of EMR scheduling and payor requirements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Medical Assistant certification, LPN, or higher preferred; if not, CPOE training with certification within 12 months.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and schedule surgeries and follow-up appointments for multiple providers.
• Perform pre-operative and post-operative data entry.
• Provide patients with information and education as needed.
